Dear Cordova Meadows Top Cub Families:
It is with great pride and excitement that we welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year! We are honored to have the opportunity to be part of a school that is filled with promise for excellence in education.
Ms. Fontaine grew up just outside of the Folsom Cordova area in Amador County. She moved to Sacramento to attend Sac State and received her bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Multicultural Education. She continued at Sac State to obtain her teaching credential and masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Ms. Fontaine has been dedicated to the Rancho Cordova Community for 21 years as a teacher and as a leader. As a teacher at Cordova Villa Elementary for fourteen years, she had the opportunity to build relationships with students and families in Rancho Cordova. She moved into leadership where she was an Assistant Principal at Russell Ranch Elementary, Williamson Elementary, and Cordova Meadows. This will be her fifth year as the Cordova Meadows principal. Her favorite part of working at Cordova Meadows is the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students, families, and staff. There are so many opportunities to learn and grow from each other.
Ms. Rodríguez grew up in the Bay Area in San Mateo county. She moved to Sacramento in 2012 to attend California State University, Sacramento. During this time, she received her bachelor’s degree in Child Development and her teaching credential with a Bilingual Authorization. She went on to teach Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grade at a Spanish Two-Way Dual Immersion school in Sacramento City Unified School District for 6 years. In 2021, she moved to Folsom Cordova Unified School District as an intervention teacher and instructional coach at Rancho Cordova Elementary. Simultaneously, she received her master’s degree in Educational Leadership and administrative credential at University of California, Berkeley. This will be her 3rd year as the assistant principal at Cordova Meadows Elementary School. She is very excited for the 2024-2025 academic year and looks forward to continuing the work of social justice and equity with her amazing students, families, staff and community. Go Top Cubs!!!!
We look forward to seeing each and everyone of you. Our doors are always open and we welcome you to come see us whenever you need. We feel truly blessed to be the instructional leaders of such an amazing school community.
